Direct or Indirect
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth; Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Ephesians 5:8-10
I've been on a journey to try something new. You guys, I'm diving into the world of being a "Plant Parent"! Let me tell you, I've attempted this before and, well, it didn't go so well! But recently, I've felt inspired to give it another shot. I've been so intrigued by the Plant Parents I know, and I've been picking their brains to learn how to care for my little green friends!
One important lesson I've learned is the difference between direct and indirect light. Direct light is when the sun shines straight onto the plant, while indirect light is not as direct. It may seem straightforward, but if you don't know, you just don't know! Once I figured out the lighting, I started looking into easy-care plants for beginners. I discovered that spider plants and philodendrons are great options since they thrive in indirect light. So, those are the first two plants I'm starting with!
While researching plant lighting, I had a thought: "What kind of light are you receiving from the Son?" Some plants flourish in direct sunlight, while others do better with indirect light. I realized I want the DIRECT SON in my life! I need His light to shine on me! When you have the DIRECT light of the SON (Jesus) guiding you, He provides everything you need. Some might be okay with INDIRECT, but I want and need it all! It reminded me of the old hymn, "Let your light from the lighthouse shine on me!" So, I have a question for you: what type of light do you want or need?
Prayer: Father God, in the name of Jesus; I want to thank you for being the LIGHT of the world. I seek your guidance in allowing your light to shine brightly in my life, so that I may receive all that I need and fulfill the purpose you have set for me, bringing you glory through my actions. I trust that you know what is best for me. Lord, help me to surrender and let you lead my life. Thank you in advance for your presence! In Jesus' name, Amen!
