I had a Scare… but GOD!!!

I know I have not blogged in a while…. LIFE!!! If you do not get a blog every week, know I am praying for you guys and please do the same for me.
I have to tell on myself. This past Friday was very scary. I went to work as normal, not feeling 100%, but went on anyway…I know many of you do the same thing! I had been suffering from dizziness, headache, and numbness in my left arm and leg. I knew something was not right, so I went to the school nurse to get her to check my blood pressure… it was 165/100+…MUCH HIGHER THAN NORMAL!! I do not have blood pressure problems at all. So, I left the school and went to Urgent Care. They asked what was wrong and I told them my blood pressure was elevated… they kindly told me they could not do anything for me and instructed me to go to the ER. Well, I went to the ER. They took my blood pressure and it was 141/100… going down, but not normal. They took an EKG, five tubes of blood, a CT scan, and an X-Ray. Praise the Lord, everything came back normal. By the time I left the hospital, my blood pressure was 135/83. I continued to monitor it and it continued to go down.
Why do I share all of this with you? I had been a bit stressed. Praying for others and dealing with things going on in my life, unknowingly, I was harming myself. I know the Lord has told me to cast all of my cares on Him, but what was I doing? I was casting them and then holding onto them on my own shoulders. Not a good idea at all! After the scare, I realized I had been putting things on myself that God did not want to be there… sound familiar? He does not intend for us to carry things ourselves. He told us to cast all cares on Him…. Not to cast and carry! So, what has been my prayer since the revelation… Lord, help me to pray and to LET GO!
AND… do not eat too many pork rinds either… :) I think that had something to do with the elevated blood pressure as well!!! My family has talked about me REAL bad!!! It is important for us to take care of our temple… that is where the Lord abides and we need to have a good house for Him to stay!
Remember: PRAY, LET GO, and WATCH HIM WORK!

Today, I went to the doctor. My blood pressure was normal!!! No medicine needed…TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!(The picture below was in the doctor’s office today).
Prayer: Father God, in the Name of Jesus. Thank you for loving me and correcting me when I put too much on myself. You did not design me for that. You told me to cast my cares on You. I need you to help me do just that. I can look over my life and see so many prayers you have answered. Father, your shoulders are bigger and stronger than mine. Let me keep that in mind and always remember YOU have ALL power in Your hands. Thank you for helping me to continue to love people, but love them enough to carry them to you and leave them at your feet. Thank you for loving and caring for me and being such an AWESOME Father! I love you! In Jesus’ Name, Amen!
