Unforgiveness is like Poison!
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Matthew 6:12
It is a new start, a new beginning. Today, I want to talk about the power of forgiveness.
When we choose not to forgive those who have hurt us—whether intentionally or unintentionally—it acts like poison in our lives. Recently, as many of you may have noticed, we've experienced snow. This led me to a revelation about how the Lord cleanses and purifies us. He can wash us whiter than snow.
To be purified means to be cleansed of all contaminants. It involves removing anything that is not pure. In this season, I encourage you to ask the Lord to help you forgive and to purify you from any hurt caused by others, including yourself. Together, we are claiming FREEDOM!
Forgiveness is crucial. If we think about it, the Lord forgave us—He extended the ultimate act of forgiveness. If He can continue to forgive us, we can seek His strength to forgive those who have wronged us. In the Lord's Prayer, it states, “forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.” He forgave us, and forgiving others is not only beneficial for them but also for our own well-being!
Prayer: Father God, in the name of Jesus, I am asking for Your help in forgiving. Lord, I have been holding onto things in my heart for a very long time, and I want to be free! Your Word says that those whom the Son sets free are free indeed. Lord, free me from any unforgiveness in my heart. Cleanse and purify me; make me new and white as snow. I thank You for Your strength, because I cannot do this on my own. I give You all the glory for freeing me from the hurt I have been holding in my heart. Lord, You are a wonderful Father, and I am grateful for Your presence in my life. Thank You for giving me a new heart, a heart of forgiveness. Thank You for being awesome. In Jesus' name, Amen.
