Don’t Stop Praying!!!
Pray without Ceasing
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Have you ever been in a season in your life where you felt your prayers were not going anywhere? I felt like my prayers had a screen door over them. I asked the Lord time and time again to show me what was going on. I also asked him to forgive me if I had done anything that was not pleasing to Him. We should continuously be doing a self-inventory and asking the Lord to show us ourselves. The closer we get to the Son, the more things he will show us about ourselves.
While in prayer, I was seeking the Lord and asking for forgiveness, He told me, the enemy does not want me to pray! He knows when I pray, things happen. I thought about Daniel. The Lord heard him the FIRST time he prayed, but the prince of Persia held up the prayer for 21 days. The Archangel Michael (The Warrior Angel) came to deliver the prayer. The enemy did not want Daniel’s prayers to be answered. Guess what? He does not want us to get our deliverance or what we are praying for either! Sometimes when it seems like my prayers are not being heard… I ask the Lord to send Michael!
DO NOT STOP PRAYING! The enemy wants us to be quiet and not communicate with Jesus! He wants us to not be in the Word and speak the Truth over our situations. If you did not get a chance to read the blog I posted about Fact vs The Truth click here. What I want to say to you is…. SPEAK IT! If you feel like your prayers are not going anywhere, PRAY ANYWAY! If you are getting weary, PRAY ANYWAY! If you need someone to intercede with you… Get them and go forth! But WHATEVER you do, KEEP ON PRAYING! Seek Jesus’ face, ask him if there is anything (sin) that is not pleasing to Him, to reveal it. When He does, ask Him to give you the strength to get rid of it so you can be pleasing in His sight! No matter what it is, NOTHING is worth losing your/our place with the Lord! STAY ENCOURAGED and KEEP PRAYING!
Prayer: Father God in the name of Jesus. I am asking that you give me the heart and mind to continue to pray to you even when I feel like you are not close. I know you are close because you said in your Word that you will never leave nor forsake me. Let me hold on to that Truth. Father, reveal to me and deliver me from anything that is not like you. Thank you for being a PRAYER HEARING GOD! Thank you for keeping me uplifted and carrying me through life. I cannot praise you enough for your goodness. Lord, give me the boldness and strength to pray no matter how I may feel. I know feelings and emotions change, but You remain the same! I love and thank you! In Jesus’ name. AMEN!
