It is Okay to be Different… You are Supposed to Be!!!

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

1 Peter 2:9

Do you know that you are a peculiar person? You may ask, what does it mean to be peculiar?  It means that you are chosen by God (you are different). I know so many times in life we look at our situations and people in our life and try to “fit in”. That is not what we have been designed to do or who we are designed to be. Being a child of God means that we are peculiar. 

People may look at you and say, “they are different,” but that is okay. 

If you are different and you are letting the light of the Lord shine through you, job well done! Our main goal in life should be when the Lord looks at us, He can say, “My child is a good and faithful servant.” We should always remember it is better to obey the Lord than to obey men. So always remember, do and be what the Lord has made you to be. He did not make you to “fit in” with the crowd, He made you to be His servant so His light can shine through you, and so that you can help to bring more souls to Him.

 Prayer:  Father God, in the name of Jesus. Thank you that you made me a peculiar person to be used by you. Help me so that I don't feel uneasy when I am not like the crowd. Lord, thank you for making me different. Thank you for using me. And most of all, thank you for allowing me to be your child. Father, continue to strengthen me, so I will make you proud. In Jesus name, Amen.
