Fact vs The Truth
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32)... If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed (John 8:36).
Learning the difference between the terms “fact” and “truth” has been something that the Lord has revealed to me. I know this revelation will change my life forever. I hope it does the same for you. I am a deep thinker. Because of this, I have experienced some things in my mind and body. Recently, the Lord spoke to me. He told me it is okay to state the facts, but I better quickly speak the truth right behind it! For example, Fact: I have been feeling pain in my body…TRUTH: By His stripes, I am healed. Fact: I have been feeling a bit down. Truth: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and the lifter of a bowed down head. Fact: I am going through a situation with my family, marriage, job, etc. Truth: ALL things work together for the good of those who love God, those who are called according to His purpose.
You see, we are aware of the facts, but we have to learn to depend on the TRUTH, which is Jesus! Do not allow the enemy to get you off track and discourage you. His job is to steal, kill, and destroy. You better believe if no one else is on their job, he is on his! The only reason he comes around is to cause problems. We serve a God who comes to give life and to give it more abundantly.
Knowing that we have the Lord on our side, how do we fight the enemy? We fight him with THE BLOOD OF JESUS! Plead the Blood over your mind, body, family, etc... and SPEAK THE TRUTH! THE DEVIL IS A LIAR and he is under our feet! (Romans 16:20) Every time you walk, you are stepping on the devil's head... Do it in the name of Jesus! We know the Truth and let us use it! Jesus has us… We are FREE…. FREE INDEED!
Prayer: Father God, in the Name of Jesus. I need you to help me speak the TRUTH over my life. I know I can do all things with you and without you I can do nothing. Lord, help me not to focus on what the enemy is saying in my mind. I know he is a liar and the father of all lies. Let me believe you and your Word. Thank you for your Word and the ability to speak it and use it in my life. Lord, you are so good and I appreciate you for always being with me. I am asking that you continue to hold and keep me while I speak the truth over my life. I love you and magnify you in Jesus’ name. AMEN!
